Many people who color their hair would certainly appreciate a more natural way to do so without using all sorts of chemicals so. Unfortunately there are not yet a lot of natural hair colors available at this time. There are however some available and most of them are Henna based. I have tried a couple of them and have included a short review on my experience with them. This product is from Antica Erboristeria, and it distributed in the UK but it can be ordered on line and shipped to many different countries including the US. Herbatint won the, "The Best Colour Award" in 2008. It comes in 30 different colors including three boulder less traditional colors.

This is more difficult to get in the United States so I have not personally tried it, but I have heard fantastic things about this product.

Light Mountain Natural Hair Color and Conditioner

Light Mountain Natural Hair Color comes in 12 shades, there is also a Color the Gray line with 8 shades. There are no chemicals and no synthetic ingredients. The products active ingredients are pure premium henna and other botanicals. They are one of the leading natrual hair colors and have been in business since the early 80's.

My Personal Review: Worked better than other Henna products to cover my few grays. Does not work as well as traditional hair coloring, but did cover grays. It lasted about 2 weeks before grays began to show through. Color began to fade after about 3 weeks.

My Quick Review: I tried this one, unfortunately they did not have my exact shade so I tried the burgundy. It add a slight dark red tint to my hair. It covered the grays, but the grays began to appear again after only 3 washings. I don't have a lot of grays, but the few I have are quite stubborn.
